I have not been able to spread the word with our Members yet about how important the new Farm Bill is for our local food system. The provision referred to below would allow our growers to produce poultry and other pastured meats and ease the current restrictions that prevent us from growing these good proteins for you. Calls Needed to Restore Healthy Competition, Markets and Rural Communities!

The Senate passed a farm bill with strong protections for livestock and poultry farmers. It is crucial that these gains do not get discarded in Conference Committee!

Terry Everett will likely have a seat on that Conference Committee. He needs to hear how important it is to protect the interests of our farmers.
